101 ways to use twinkle lights.

This is number 73~ I could probably come up with the rest and do an entire blog on just that.

How to use a simple strand of lights for photos.

Hmmmm......

I had envisioned a grainy, black and white look to this little project, but then I tried a few with a more warm vintage tone. And I liked em' too ;)
(This one was Owen's idea. Wanted to see the lights through the blanket)

2 of my sons favorite people.

I have not only had the joy of watching these 2 little girls grow slowly into 2 little women...
( Their Momma is going to be upset I just called them that )

But I have been able to photograph them several times over the past few years, so they are special to me in many, many ways.

My son loves them, they love my son.

He plays Pet shops with them, they dress him up.

They teach him Spanish.

They feed him.

He's almost like a pet.

I kinda wish it would last forever :(

.....This is a little Birthday gift to their very special & beautiful Momma, a peek of how I saw her sweet little girls.

Besos!

Effervescent ~

I am running a little test with this post, I want to see how much FB actually alters photos when uploaded. This is why I wanted another source for posting pictures, because to me the over sharpening and color distortion that happens on FB is really obvious!

These are a few more I took this morning, about an hour after I took the first set. More sun, brighter bokeh, tiny ice prisms in the grass were starting to appear. Half the yard already melted. This was one of those "make the time to photograph" moments, like we sometimes often put aside to do later. I am glad I took the opportunity to just grab my camera and snap away.

Jack Frost.

I think aside from fog, there are few mornings as beautiful as ones where frost has crept in the night before and quietly settled over the landscape. There is a small window of opportunity as the the sun first stretches over the horizon, when sun and frost work together to create a harmonious moment of fire and ice. The sun will eventually win, and the frost will melt, but for a brief encounter the two co exist and the world literally glistens.

These were taken this morning with my Macro, steady breathing and only the natural props in my back yard. Sometimes I like to shoot just simple things that do not require any magical Photoshop (cough) skills, and I leave them just as they are. I found the more numb my fingers became, the clearer the photos became :)
